Guidelines used
This website has been updated to follow recommendations adopted by the World Wide Web Consortium - W3C promoted through the Web Accessibility Initiative (Web Accessibility Initiative - WAI), to facilitate the use of Internet to as many users as possible.
Among the features used are the following:
- This website is displayed almost identically in Internet Explorer 7, or later versions, and Mozilla Firefox, since it is designed with Style Sheets which meet the CSS 1.0 Standard.
- This website is displayed correctly in 1024x780 resolutions or greater.
- User assistance is available via info@renosmaritima.com for general enquiries related to the website and for specific enquiries regarding accessibility.
- Logical navigation is available throughout the entire website via the tabs.
- For all images, graphics buttons and multimedia objects, the equivalent text has been provided corresponding to their content.
- All information transferred in image form via colour can be understood completely without colour.
- The colour combinations of the texts and backgrounds have sufficient contrast to be seen by users with impairments in the perception of colour or with monochrome screens.
- Each and every one of the pages has the same level of accessibility as the homepage. All meet CSS, XHTML 2.0 specifications and at least level A of T.A.W.
- All the pages have a contextual route that will help the user recognise what session they are in within the webpage at any given moment.
- All tables used have their corresponding content guide which they host.
- With regard to the scripts, applets, animated flash and other dynamic objects, all pages remain equally operational when these objects are not supported.
- They avoid opening new browser windows as much as possible, and in the event that they do, it shall be indicated via the following icon that the information will appear in a new window.
- The website has been developed by maximizing the space of icons and images so that users with slow connections don’t have any problems accessing the information.
Size of the text
The website has been put together following accessible-design guidelines, allowing the user to use the feature, available on most browsers, to modify the size of the text to best suit the user’s preference.
Below is a list of the main browsers and instructions on how you can change the text size:
To change the size of the text when using the Mozilla Firefox browser go to menu: See > Size > Increase/Decrease.
To change the size of the text when using the Internet Explorer browser go to menu: See > Size of Text > Big / Very Big...
